The HPV vaccine protects against the types of HPV that cause most cases of genital warts and some other cancers including cervical cancer in women and anal and penile cancers in men. The vaccine is given as 2 or 3 injections, depending on age and schedule chosen, into the upper arm. It's important to have all doses of the vaccine to be properly protected. Suitable for children over the age of 9, and women and men up to the age of 45.
