Rabies is a dangerous viral infection endemic to many countries. The rabies vaccination consists of a course of 3 doses injected into the upper arm. You should have your first dose 5 weeks before travelling. The second dose is given 7 days after the first dose and the third dose 3 weeks after the second dose. You will be protected for 10 years. If you are working with animals or are at a higher risk, more frequent boosters may be recommended. Suitable from birth.
